Just before I posted off the Sketchbook I found a little hidden treasure.
Anne made up the book from some beautiful paper and this sketch was possibly from one of the borrowed sheets. (Or maybe I hadn’t paid attention to my fellow Sister’s contribution.)
It’s a very beautiful scene of Kakadu and I was so glad to find it before I let the book go. I’ve dreamed of going here but haven’t been lucky enough ( there’s time yet I hope..)
If I’m reposting I don’t mind. Hope you love it too.
It’s lovely!

I missed this completely, so I’m really grateful to you for posting about it. At least I can enjoy it vicariously!

That’s good to know that it wasn’t easy to find. My daughter found it when she was looking through otherwise I wouldn’t have seen it either.

Where was it? I though I’d looked at every page. Was it folded inside one of the pages?

It was just near the back. It might have been on a slightly lighter type of paper so was easily flicked over because most of the pages were quite a heavy cartridge.

Maybe a couple of pages stuck together…

It’s near the back of the book, four pages from the map. I found it when I was looking at all the different papers. I assumed everyone before me had spotted it. Sorry, I didn’t think of it being missing from the blog. Thanks Megan. It’s a detailed coloured-pencil drawing, the textures being created with different types of pencil lines and graduated colour. Quite delicate.

~giggle~Love that there was a secret sketch in the Sketchbook. (It wasn’t intentional, but I would like to claim it as so!)

Oh that’s great that even the bookmaker mightn’t know about the sketch :>
